I hope that all of you are doing well in the New Year. 2020 was an interesting year and I think we could all use a little calmer 2021.
We finished the year out at our home with the well known virus this past year. We are grateful to the Lord for bringing us through it with little more than flu symptoms. I know that is not always the case with some people and we are thankful that we managed to have it only inconvenience us for a while.
This past year was a crazy year but the one thing we found over and over that we could rely on was that Jesus is the same today, tomorrow, and always. He will not leave us or forsake us. We can remain steadfast holding on to Him as our Rock. May we all remember that as we go into this new year, new life, new roads. God's got this!!
Our prayer for this year is that we are able to help more children, through more sponsors. Currently we have about 100 children hoping and praying for someone to sponsor them. This doesn't happen by accident, it happens through YOU!
Please consider having us come to your home to meet with others and share in a time of prayer and information about what is happening at New Beginnings. These small gatherings are the perfect way to help us get the word out during this time. Contact us to come to your home to share in the near future. We are happy to report that Giving Tuesday brought in over $4,000 towards our building fund. We are so thankful to all of you who have given and to God who continues to do over and above our expectations to see this project continue. THANK YOU!!
Please continue your prayers for our ministry to the orphans of Kenya. If you or your church are not currently on our Prayer Warriors list, contact us so that we can be sure to add you. We have weekly prayer requests going out. We have also started something new - gathering for a time of fellowship and prayer. We would be honored to come to your location, whether it is at your home or church, for a gathering. They are just very blessed times and we appreciate them so much.
We have brought several new children into our primary school who are in great need of sponsors. Currently they are not sponsored, but we are covering their school tuition to attend school until we can find them a sponsor. So many of these children are in desperate situations and without help they will have no chance of a positive future. Please keep them all in prayer.

Thank you to everyone who gave to help Operation Christmas Shoes this year. We have reached our goal for each child to get a uniform AND some extra to purchase some text books for the children.
We are also blessed to have had someone donate soccer uniforms. We know they will be so appreciated this year when the children go out to play soccer at other schools. THANK YOU!!
We are still collecting undergarments. Our greatest need is for bras and camisoles (with the inner bra). We also need PJ's. These can be new or gently used. Our girls really appreciate these and put them to good use.

Our schools are completely back in session and everyone is very excited and very happy. I don't think I have ever seen our children so excited to return to class.
Our 4th grade, 8th grade, and 12th grade are working hard and preparing for their national exams in March/April. Please cover them in prayer as they prepare for these important exams.
Our biggest building need is classrooms for our preschool. We are sure our small space for our preschool will stop us from holding class for our youngest children once the schools reopen. Recently we have had several of our high school graduates contact us who are in great need of help to go the next step. For some as they finish our program, they have found jobs or family that will help them get to the next step but sometimes our graduates really need just that extra hand up.
We have decided that with the help of many of you we can help these young people go on to a vocational school to help them reach that next level. If you would like to give to help these graduates, your one time or monthly donation of any size will make it possible. Currently we have 2 young ladies who are waiting for the opportunity to take that next step. If you would like to help either one, I know it would be greatly appreciated.
Jane is one of our high school graduates who really tried to go on her own. She is a total orphan and her aunt, who is technically her guardian, is unable to help her go further. Jane is the mother to one of our youngest children, Amara. She is really trying hard to stay connected with her daughter but is unable to care for her needs. She would like to attend a vocational school to help her get a job where she can learn and progress in her life for her future and the future of her daughter.
Sharon is one of our high school graduates who has really tried to move forward on her own but has not succeeded. She too is a total orphan and although she has been able to find various odd jobs since she graduated, she has not been able to earn what is needed to attend a vocational school to specialize in accounting and bookkeeping, which is what she would really like to do in her life.
Other college/university students that are currently receiving help to continue on are Brighton, Geoffrey, Nicholas, Timothy, Robert, and George. Please pray for these students as they continue their education. May God use each of them to change the world.
